fresh air

^The cutest art gallery in Portsmouth NH!

I spent the last week in Maine, specifically Kittery. Although Kittery is barely Maine and most people perceive it as a primarily shopping town, it's beautiful. My girlfriend has a really lovely/homey house that's only one floor. She has a nice yard with a lot of flowers, and waking up was really uplifting there. Back here in Massachusetts you never really notice the pollution or the content of the dirty air, but in Maine the air just smells clean. Most of the air really smells like sea water, considering she lives on the coast, but it was all quite refreshing. Having to come back to my ugly shack in suburbia Mass was less than desirable.
In other news, I applied online to the CVS photo lab. I'm positive, however, that I entered my social security number in wrong. I hope this won't be a problem. I feel like they're probably not even hiring and it was just a waste of time. The online application took forever because, like with the staples application, I had to answer 20 pages of multiple choice questions about my personality and response to real-life situations. One of the questions read something to the like of, 'I am upset when guilty people are let free by the court -- strongly disagree, disagree, agree, strongly agree'. Why does CVS care how I feel about this? Do they feel seriously concerned that I'm a criminal?
I'm also starting to get some of the summertime homework anxiety blues. I'm pretty terrified about finishing Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged. I'm blogging now while I should be reading. Because on top of that, I also have to read Stiff by Mary Roach, and write two reviews on it. Along with that I still have to visit a museum and do three drawings for art, my digital video assignment (wherever that went), and my desktop/web publishing assignment (which my teacher has yet to make).
I'm a bit worried about getting a new job, though. Nothing will be quite as flexible as Market Basket. I have a lot on my agenda that I'm looking forward to, and I feel like CVS wouldn't be as excited as I am. Some upcoming events that I'm nearly peeing over:
July 23rd-24th - Visiting a friend in Hampton
August 5th-10th - Camping with my best friends
August 9th - Matt & Kim, The Go! Team, CSS
August 20something-? - Band Camp
October 4th - Tegan and Sara
October 30th - Of Montreal
And on another note, the latest trend is talking in a combination of a really fake Boston and New York accent.
